Autumn family photography in Oldham makes me happy
When the sun is shining leaving a light glow and warmth on my skin, it’s easy to forget that it’s autumn. Gazing up at a near cloudless sky and a multitude of greens, it could be mistaken for another season. I’ve lived in Saddleworth for a number of years now but am still pleasantly surprised to find areas I didn’t even know existed. In reality, this place is pretty special.
And when you get to spend the morning with a lovely family who get to enjoy the beauty of Saddleworth every day, then all is marvellous in the world. Young Alfie won my summer photo challenge, a six week programme for local children. I was so excited to meet the boy behind the photos and along with his family, enjoyed their energetic and enthusiastic company during our outdoor wander.
Time passes quickly so these moments are precious
Moments like this still make me smile and tingle at the same time. The simplicity of a line of holding hands is timeless and joyful in bucket loads. Small hands soon become bigger as arms grow longer and time passes by. I love getting clients to walk together and enjoy watching the side glances, the laughter and of course, the obligatory “strike a pose!” Being silly for a few moments is something that can often become lost in the grind of everyday life but is thoroughly recommended.
I got a real sense of how important the great outdoors is to Alfie and his family. You can understand why with the gorgeous backdrop. With such a lovely family to photograph, I enjoyed myself in spades. Thank you for a fun morning boys!
