Goodbye 2016 and hello there 2017 from Inspired By Joseph Photography!
2016 has been a tough year for many. Celebrity deaths, Brexit and the economy has meant many are glad to see the back of 2016. Always an optimist, it’s been a fabulous year despite these things! On 12th January I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl, Victoria. In reality, she is a mini me but with more tenacity and energy! At the same time, Joseph turned two, developed an obsession with trains and we mastered the art of the potty! Looking after two children is like nothing I have ever known, or can truly describe. In actual fact it is the most rewarding (and tiring!) job I have ever had.
Those of you who know me personally know how important my career is to me. Surprisingly to some perhaps, I took the brave decision to press pause on Inspired By Joseph Photography when Victoria was born, less than 90 days in to my new venture, so that I could enjoy those precious first few months. So, I’ve worked just 69 days this year which means my business is still a baby at just 157 days old!
I am proud of my achievements in 69 days!
In that time I have had the pleasure of photographing 6 families, 1 cake smash, 1 christening and 2 playgroups, with bookings made as far in advance as next June! I have written 8 blogs and 85 Facebook posts. Then there is all the back office stuff that you just don’t see. Being a working mum who looks after children pretty much full time (NOTE – this is different to being a stay at home Mum!) is tough, in fact very tough, so that is why I am proud of what I have achieved in such a short time.
But the best is yet to come. I just know it!
Can my most popular blog posts from 2016 help you achieve or record your goals for 2017?
One of my missions for Inspired By Joseph Photography is to leave my clients inspired to take more and better photographs and to display them around their homes. If you take just one thing from one of my blogs and implement it through 2017, my work here is done!
I’ll leave you with my top 9 photographs from 2016
Leave me a reply below and let me know which is your favourite photograph and why. I’d love to hear from you!
